Vice President at RIM

Among all the career presentation we sat through, Mr. Wahl's was my favorite. He presented his career clearly and concisely, and at the same time kept a light hearted and encouraging demeanor throughout the entire interview. He gave a very large amount of information and made the job seem very appealing.  He was very confident the whole time and it showed during his presentation. I've never really been interested in a career with technical design before, but I might pursue one if the opportunity ever arises.

Firefighter Career Interview

Ken North, the firefighter's career presentation was one of my favorites. He was helpful and answered his questions thoroughly. He gave large amounts of information and really made the career of a firefighter seem appealing. I most likely won't pursue anything down that road, but he made it seem like a good one to be on. He spoke firmly and provided all the necessary information we would need should we choose to go down the firefighting path.

Journalist/Politician

I think Melissa Durrell's career presentation was good. She presented her job very well and gave a very good description of what it entails. She also gave great information on how to get a career like hers. Although I think she could have spoken more seriously, her presentation was still pretty good. I don't really have any interest in pursuing a career in journalism or politics, but she did make the opportunity seem like a great path.

TED Talk Chat

I believe the TED Talk's chat activity was pretty unsuscessful. Although many kids were talking to one another, there were a few with inflammitory behavior that caused the conversation to derail pretty quickly. Although I had my share of fun as well I think if the chat were more disciplined and organized, the result would have been more favorable.

Something about me

Something important that I enjoy doing is drawing. I regularly draw every day whenever I find an interesting thing to draw. I always carry a pencil and some paper when I'm walking around or have the space, and draw whatever I see when I find the time. I hope to become some kind of graphic artist when I grow up, preferrably a concept artist in media.

Issue

I wrote to the MP about legalizing Marijuana, I believe this is an issue because it doesn't make sense and puts money in the hands of criminals every day. The more we push down on drug use the harder the criminals will try to sell it. If the government produces and sells it  it will produce revenue for them and keep children and teenagers safe from dealers who might want to push even harder drugs on them. Providing a safe legal way of accessing marijuana is very important.

Words

My favorite book is The Hobbit or There and Back Again by J.R.R Tolkien.
